There are many people that are in need of food. St. Thérèse parishioners are very generous in donating food items to keep a supply in the pantry. You can help by bringing in any of the following non-perishable food and small toiletry items and leave them in the baskets in the vestibule.
(Please check expiration dates -
we can not use items that have expired dates.)
C.A.R.E. teams provide meals to those in our parish that need a little extra help during short term and emergency situations. Please call the current team: Kathy Quinnett 479-2382, Debbie Pease 339-1096, Margaret Hopper 479-6301, Kaye Foust 284-2930.
Each year St. Thérèse hosts a Three Kings Feast in December where we prepare a meal for our guests. We collect new blankets to give to the families and purchase toys for the children.
You can start preparing now by collecting new blankets or making a donation for the Three Kings Feast.
St. Thérèse helps families in need by providing food baskets for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. This also includes an Angel Tree at Christmas.
Please let the office know if you are available to help with these projects.
St. Thérèse is participating in Family Promise. Family Promise is a unique organization that fills a very specific role in our community. They partner with churches, like St. Therese, located in the Cleveland City, Bradley County area. Churches fulfill the evening and overnight portion of a 24 hour shelter, while back at the Day Center, the director and staff work hard for the families connecting them to resources, jobs, and housing. It is our goal that our families are safe, have enough to eat, and a roof over their heads while in the program.
